Visit types let you customize check-in flows for visitors based on the category of visit (for e.g. Contractor, Client meeting, Interview etc.).
Please note that Visitor Management is a paid add-on for Skedda & AllBooked plans that involves an additional charge per venue if you use the feature. You can also manage deliveries with this add-on.
Settings & Setup
In the Settings -> Visit types page, admins can create visit types and custom visit fields.
To create a visit type, click on 'Add visit type', enter a name and click 'Add visit type'.
To create a custom visit field, click on 'Add custom visit field'.
Note: Currently only single-line text fields can be created for visits. More field types will be available soon.
The following options can be set on the custom visit field:
Label: The label is the name displayed on the field.
Placeholder: This is shown in the field when it's empty. This is perfect for giving your users a ‘hint’ or example.
Help Text: This is shown when a small question mark beside the custom field label is clicked. This is helpful if more context or guidance is necessary. This can be set by clicking on the checkbox "Explain what this field is for".
An example setup is shown below:
Setting up visit type rules
Visit type rules determine when each field is collected, and they can set it as required or optional:
At invite time: Filled in by the host when scheduling the visit.
At check-in time: Filled in by the visitor during check-in.
In the example below, Rule 1 sets the 'Role' custom visit field to be required when the host is inviting the visitor.
