With Skedda's visitor management feature, you can now also manage deliveries to your venue.

Please note that Visitor Management is a paid add-on for all plans that involves an additional charge per venue if you use the feature.

Overview

Deliveries lets you log, track, and manage packages arriving at your venue without treating them like visits.

Itโ€™s designed for front desks, reception teams, and facilities managers who need a simple way to:

  • Log incoming deliveries

  • Notify recipients

  • Track whether items have been picked up

Enabling Deliveries

Before deliveries can be logged, they must be enabled for your venue.

To enable deliveries:

  1. Go to the 'Visitor Setup' settings page

  2. Scroll down to the 'Allow deliveries' section and enable deliveries.

Logging a Delivery

Deliveries are logged using the same tablet used for visitors. This is typically done by the courier or reception staff when a package arrives. Read more on how to pair a visit tablet display.

Note: Currently, deliveries can only be logged using the tablet. Logging a delivery by scanning the QR code is currently not supported.

To log a delivery:

  • On the tablet, select 'Deliveries'.

  • Enter the delivery details

  • Add one or more recipients

  • Review and submit

Viewing Deliveries

Deliveries are shown alongside visits in the Visits area.

Who can see what?

  • Admins (System admins, booking admins & owner) can see all deliveries for the venue.

  • Non-admin users can see only deliveries where they are the recipient.

Marking a delivery as picked up

By default all deliveries are in the 'Awaiting pickup' status. When someone collects their package, an admin user or the recipient themselves can mark it as 'Picked up'.

Notifications

The following email notifications are sent automatically.

  • Email sent to the recipient when a delivery is logged.

  • Email sent to the recipient when a delivery is marked as picked up.

If the notification setting for visits are enabled for the venue, then the venue contact email will also receive notifications when a delivery is logged and when it is picked up.

See an example email below:

Removing a delivery

If a delivery was logged by mistake, admins or the recipient themselves can remove it from the list.

Note: Removing a delivery permanently deletes the record and should be used only when necessary.

FAQs

Can deliveries be logged without a recipient?

No. A recipient is required for a delivery so that the right people can be notified.

Do additional email addresses specified in Visit notifications settings receive delivery notifications?

No. Currently, the email addresses specified in the visit notifications settings page are only for visit-related emails.
