This article is a supplement to our main article on SSO (please read that first for context).

A full video walkthrough of the setup process is also available below:

Step 1: Add the 'Skedda' app from the 'SSO' page

From the 'SSO' page, in your JumpCloud Administration console, click on the '+' icon. Then, search for, and select, 'Skedda' in the search bar, and click 'configure' once the Skedda-app connector appears.

Step 2: Add a display label, and an optional app description, to the Skedda-app

In the 'General Info' tab, provide a name for the Skedda-app connector, as well as an optional description. You will see that Skedda's logo has been preloaded into the app, for convenience's sake.

Step 3: Supply JumpCloud with Skedda's 'Relay State' value, as well as your venue's subdomain

In the 'SSO' tab, in JumpCloud, you will need to provide JumpCloud with Skedda's 'Relay State' value. This can be copied from your Skedda SSO settings page, as shown in the screenshot below:

You can then paste this 'Relay State' value into the 'Default RelayState' field in JumpCloud's 'SSO' tab.

In addition to this, you need to provide JumpCloud with your venue's subdomain, in order to complete the link found in the 'Login URL' field. Your venue's subdomain can be found in the URL bar of your browser when you've loaded up your Skedda account:

Address in URL bar:

Subdomain:

jumpcloudssosetup

Once you've configured both of these values, your fields should look similar to the screenshot below, with your unique values in place:

Step 4: Provide Skedda with your 'IdP Entity ID' and 'IDP URL'

From your 'SSO' tab, in JumpCloud, copy the information, shown in the screenshot above, and paste it into the relevant fields in your Skedda SSO settings page:

The table below shows where you should paste each value from JumpCloud, into Skedda.

Value in JumpCloud:

Corresponding field in Skedda:

IdP Entity ID

Identity Provider Entity ID

IDP URL

Identity Provider Login URL

Step 5: Activate the Skedda-app connector, and provide Skedda with your 'Public Certificate'

Back in JumpCloud, activate your Skedda-app connector. This will generate a 'Public Certificate', which you should download, as shown in the screenshot below. Importantly, the activation will also set the configuration that you've completed so far.

Once you’ve downloaded your ‘Public Certificate’ file, you can use a text editor to open the file and access the certificate string as text for pasting into your Skedda SSO settings page. Please also note that there may be "wrapping" text in the file exported from JumpCloud (similar to "BEGIN HERE" and "END HERE") - this wrapping text should NOT be pasted into the Skedda side (i.e. only paste the "body" characters).

Paste the certificate string into the 'Identity Provider Certificate Public Key' field:

In summary, the table below shows where you should paste each value from JumpCloud, into Skedda, for steps 4 and 5.

Value in JumpCloud:

Corresponding field in Skedda:

IdP Entity ID

Identity Provider Entity ID

IDP URL

Identity Provider Login URL

Public Certificate

Identity Provider Certificate Public Key

Step 6: Setup complete!

Finally, review the "User Groups" tab, for your Skedda-app, from within JumpCloud. From here, you'll be able to make sure that the appropriate users/groups are assigned access to the SSO integration between Skedda and JumpCloud, in your organization.

Once that’s completed, you’re all set to begin testing!
