This Cookie Policy explains how Skedda Pty Ltd and its affiliates use cookies and similar technologies on our websites ("Websites", including, any successor URLs, mobile or localized versions and related domains and subdomains). It explains what these technologies are and why we use them, as well as your rights to control our use of them.

What are cookies?

Cookies are small data files that are placed on your computer or mobile device when you visit a website, mobile app or use an online platform. Cookies are widely used by online service providers to facilitate and help to make the interaction between users and websites, mobile apps and online platforms faster and easier, as well as to provide reporting information.

Cookies set by the website and/or mobile app and/or platform owner (in this case, Skedda) are called "first party cookies". Cookies set by parties other than the website and/or mobile app and/or platform owner are called "third party cookies". Third party cookies enable third party features or functionality to be provided on or through the website and/or mobile app and/or platform (e.g. like advertising, interactive content and analytics). The parties that set these third party cookies can recognize your computer or device both when it visits the website and/or mobile app and/or platform in question and also when it visits certain other websites and/or mobile apps and/or platforms.

Why do we use cookies?

We use first party and third party cookies for several reasons. Some cookies are required for technical reasons in order for our Websites to operate correctly and securely, and we refer to these as "essential" or "strictly necessary" cookies. Other cookies also enable us to track and target the interests of our users to enhance the experience on our Website. Third parties serve cookies through our Websites for analytics and other purposes. This is described in more detail below.

You can block or delete any cookie by changing your browser settings as described below under the heading "How can I control cookies?", however certain functionality of the Websites may become unavailable if you do this.

Essential website cookies: Served by: Skedda Pty Ltd, Cloudflare Inc. These cookies are strictly necessary to prevent abuse of our Websites, to provide you with services available through our Websites, and to use many of their features, such as authentication, security-validation and access to secure areas.

Performance and functionality cookies: Served by: Skedda Pty Ltd. These cookies are used to enhance the performance and functionality of our Websites but are non-essential to their use. However, without these cookies, certain functionality may become unavailable.

Essential third-party authentication cookies: Served by: Facebook, Twitter, Google, Microsoft. These cookies are only used for authentication, and only if you opt to authenticate with Skedda via one of these services. If you opt to authenticate with one of these services, these cookies as essential for authentication to function. If you do not opt to authenticate with one of these services, these cookies are not used.

Third-party System user cookies: Served by Intercom, HeadwayApp, Stripe, FullStory (see our list of subprocessors for details). These cookies are only applicable to owners and administrators of Skedda venue accounts. They are not used for non-admin end users. For owners and administrators, we use these cookies on our pages for the following reasons:

  • Customize the content of our Websites for you.

  • Support the basic functionality of integrated third-party product features on our Websites.

  • To help us understand how our Websites are being used.

Third-party marketing/advertising cookies: Served by Google, Facebook (see our list of subprocessors for details). These cookies are only presented to visitors of our "marketing/landing pages" at, not within any individual "venue" subdomain/account. We use these cookies on our marketing/landing pages for the following reasons:

  • To help us understand how our Websites are being used.

  • To help us market/advertise our products and services to space-for-hire venue owners and administrators online. This may include the use of cookies and/or device-identifiers to display of our marketing/advertising content on other sites you visit on the internet after you have visited our Websites (so-called "remarketing" or "re-engagement").

  • Understand the effectiveness of our marketing campaigns.

Please note that Google provides a direct opt-out link for their relevant cookies here, here.

What about other tracking technologies, like web beacons?

Cookies are not the only way to recognize or track visitors to a website. We may use other, similar technologies from time to time, like web beacons (sometimes called "tracking pixels" or "clear gifs"). These are tiny graphics files that contain a unique identifier that enable us to recognize when someone has visited our Websites. In many instances, these technologies are reliant on cookies to function properly, and so declining cookies will impair their functioning.

Do you use Flash cookies or Local Shared Objects?

We do not currently use these technologies.

Do you serve targeted advertising?

We do not currently serve/display/show any advertising on our Websites (however we may advertise for our Websites on other sites).

How can I control cookies?

You have the right to decide whether to accept or reject cookies. You can set or amend your web browser controls to accept or refuse cookies. You can also choose to use a service like Network Advertising Initiative Opt-Out that allows you to opt out of receiving targeted ads from one, some, or all member companies participating in this initiative. If you choose to reject or opt-out of cookies, you may still use our Websites though your access to some functionality and areas may be restricted. As the means by which you can refuse cookies through your web browser controls vary from browser-to-browser, you should visit your browser's help menu for more information.

How often will you update this Cookie Policy?

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time in order to reflect, for example, changes to the cookies we use or for other operational, legal or regulatory reasons. Please therefore re-visit this Cookie Policy regularly to stay informed about our use of cookies and related technologies.
