Try out our interactive guide within your Skedda venue! Head to the Resource Center by clicking the clipboard icon in the lower left control bar and start some checklists.

1. Add your spaces and include photos and descriptions

Settings > Spaces

Update the names of your example spaces and add or delete spaces as you see fit. You can also add descriptive information and space visuals/photos!

For example, you might like to add information about the features and capacity of the space and display photographs, floor plans, or maps of the space.

2. Access and visibility settings

Settings > Access and visibility

Here you can choose if your venue is public or protected behind a login, as well as who can book (anyone, only System users, or only users with certain user tags) and decide the transparency of your bookings.

If you're not sure what settings will suit your venue just yet, you can always change them later!

3. Create a booking condition

Settings > Conditions

Add a booking condition by clicking on ‘+ Add condition’. Choose a booking condition that you're interested in testing out, for example, ‘half-day or full-day bookings only’, ‘minimum booking duration of 1 hour’, ‘max duration times’ or ‘strict booking blocks’.

This is a huge part of what makes Skedda so powerful, and what allows you to automate your workload!

4. Test it out!

There are a few options to test out your settings! You could use ‘Skedda Fred’, your test user that is in the Users list. Hit the "Try Me!" link to get instructions on how to use him to test your booking conditions and other venue settings from the user's perspective!

5. Fine-tune your venue settings

Now that you’re familiar with customizing and testing your venue, log back in and fine-tune your venue settings. For example, tweak your hours of availability, customize the booking confirmation email, choose a booking and cancellation policy, and create color rules. Create even more booking (and pricing) conditions, or create conditions for certain types or subgroups of users with user tags.

6. Launch your venue to a few users

Go live, share your venue with a small cohort of users, and see their bookings roll in!

You can share your venue URL address with anyone who should have viewing or booking access and even link it to your website or social pages. For example, check out our demo account by clicking on the venue URL address here: https://skeddaoffice.skedda.com/booking

Reminder: if you have restricted your venue access to 'Private' or chosen that only individuals with certain user tags can book, then you'll need to share a specific invitation link with them instead.
